A calm, affirming space for autistic people

Counselling with Sandra

I offer support that respects neurodiversity, honours your experience, and works with your nervous system , not against it.

I specialise in autism‑informed counselling, grounded in a neurodiversity‑affirming framework. That means I don’t see autism as something to fix : I work with your strengths, sensory needs, communication style, and lived experience.

My sessions are:

  • neurodiversity affirming

  • flexible as to the mode of communication (such as talking, writing, using visuals, pacing, walking…)

  • sensory aware and trauma informed

  • collaborative, transparent and respectful

I work with:

I can help with

  • Autistic burnout and chronic exhaustion

  • Relationships and communication

  • Anxiety and emotional regulation

  • Identity, self‑acceptance, and late diagnosis

  • Masking, people‑pleasing, and boundaries

  • School, work, or social stress

  • Co‑occurring depression or trauma

  • life transitions and changes

Who is this for?

  • You are autistic and looking for a therapist who truly “gets it”
  • You are a parent to an autistic child and want to help them
  • You are exploring a possible autism diagnosis
  • You experience burnout, overwhelm, anxiety, or shutdowns
  • You’ve felt misunderstood or exhausted by traditional therapy
  • You want support that is affirming, practical, and respectful

We go at your pace. There’s no pressure to perform or explain yourself !

NDIS and Accessibility

I can offer counselling to participants who are self-managed or plan-managed under the NDIS.

If you are self- or plan-managed, you can use your NDIS funding to cover counselling sessions with me.
